My name is Shelby Gravley and I teach 7th grade Social Studies. I first decided that wanted to be a teacher when I was in kindergarten! I grew up in Cary and graduated from Panther Creek High School in 2010. I moved to Virginia to go to Liberty University, where I studied Social Sciences with Secondary licensure. After I graduated in 2014, I moved home to Raleigh. My first teaching job was at Leesville Road High School, but after a year I realized that middle school is where I'm truly supposed to be. I then taught at East Garner Middle School, where I also coached softball. I'm very excited to teach and coach at Daniels this year!
I live in North Raleigh with my husband and adorable black lab, Indy. My favorite things to do are read, spend time with family and friends, and travel. I get to travel a lot because my best friend lives all the way in New Hampshire! My husband also loves history so we enjoy visiting new places and learning about their history.
